Carole R. Fontaine is the Distinguished Taylor Professor of Biblical Theology and History at Andover Newton Theological School, and a former Henry Luce III Fellow in Theology. She has written six books, over 100 articles, co-edited several volumes of the Feminist Companion to the Bible series, and is the Religion Editor for the World Book Encyclopedia.
